How You Can Stop An Aggressor From A Secure Distance

By Fred B Roze

I realized the person was trouble. He was originating from the other direction on the sidewalk. There seemed to be a thing concerning the manner he walked with his hand within his own pocket that was not right. He was only 10 feet away. My own right hand was already at my hip, grasping the handle of my baton. As soon as he glanced at me, I could nearly read his own thoughts.

I carried a stun device for several years right up until I found stun batons.

I learned that stun batons enable you to zap attackers coming from a safe range. I liked that.

I got a Streetwise 3000K extendable rechargeable stun gun baton with light over the Internet. Its free nylon holster with belt loop makes it very easy toting around beside me anywhere. A telescopic baton, it retracts to just 12.5 inches long for quick transport or storage.

My baton stun gun shoots out to approximately 21 inches, and the grab guard stun strips running along its sides electrify 12 inches of the weapon so it can't be grabbed from me. Those bright electrical arcs make sure not anyone would want to or be able to. The look and sound alone of all that crackling electrical energy is enough to scare anyone off.

If it does not, there is always the attention-grabbing 130dB alarm and also the vibrant LED light which helps me see the target in the event that it is dark as well as blinds him with its brightness, also.

The protective rubberized layer is not difficult to grip, and you can find three degrees of safety. I have to move the safety switch to "on," and the function switch to "stun," before pushing the trigger. I won't stun any person inadvertently. This is rechargeable, also. No batteries to fuss with.

The guy all of a sudden came at me from a few feet away but did not get any nearer. I shot my very own stun baton out to full size, stopping him in his tracks and dropping him. He lay on the sidewalk, twitching. I took my cell phone out and called 911.
